Will RAM with a higher voltage than my motherboard still work?
I couldn’t get a clear answer on this. I am looking to upgrade my computer’s RAM. My motherboard (PC-Chips P25g) states it runs on 2.5v. The RAM I am thinking of buying (A-DATA VDNGC1A16) states “2.7″ volts. I couldn’t find a memory QVL at the MB manufacturer’s site. Will it still work with my motherboard? Thanks.
Yes just make sure the board supports the form factor ie. DDR, DDR2 etc….
