motherboard post test
motherboard is necessary to replace the battery in your computer?
My computer recently went down. When starting up and then goes through POST a black screen with a blinking cursor. I went into the BIOS and all my devices are listed yet. I open the computer itself and all cables seem to be well connected. I took the USB and turned the computer to test the motherboard and I really hear the beeps so it was a good sign. So I guess the battery plate base has gone wrong? if so, I know how to match the number of the battery (ie, 325252v) if I can use a lithium battery, for example in the supermarket? Also, how on earth do you get the battery? I could not get out for the life of me. (Yes, I was pushing close)
The battery on the motherboard is not crucial. It's just there to remind the BIOS setup and configuration of the clock. It's called the CMOS battery. You do not need change, the team can still function without it.
