motherboard find out
I have a P4 2.4Ghz system. How can I find out what chip I have so I can buy a new motherboard?
The games I want to play need a sound card that will handle directx 9.0c. The only cards I can find require a PCI-e slot. Since my motherboard does not have this I figure I might as well get a new board. What I don’t know is if I can use my current chip or not. All I know is that it is intel, P4, and 2,4 Ghz. So how do I find this out? Thanks.
Also how would I know if the new board will fit my case?
You will need to change the motherboard. they aren’t very expensive. They range from AU$65 – 80 and AU$100 for a 3.0GhZ processor, but you will need to have DDR2 RAm with that which ranges from AU$30 for 512mb to AU$60 for a 1GB
