motherboard capacitor repair
Without life advice! Computer Repair / Builders!?
The motherboard is an Asus P48. I tried in two different cases, but still is dead. You connect the power and you can hear the chirping of the capacitors, then press the switch and nothing happens. Are you sure about the model of this forum? Not sure this is a place of P48 P4B? Yes, you have a BIOS, but it is a flash memory chip and an EEPROM (label). Indeed, it seems that the power regulator the MB is bad. Time to get a new MB. If you just bought recently and ASUS will replace it if under one year. Ask your customer service.
