Why Adobe DjVu very slow in Linux and Windows?
I installed the latest version of Ubuntu on my cpu and started to test different programs. First I made a copy on CD and then tried to find a document in Adobe DjVu is approximately 1200 pages. Both programs were very, very slow compared Windows XP. Any idea why? I want to go Linux, but that kind of speed just sucks!
What programs do you use? I like to use Foxit (Http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/index.php) PDF files, Xpdf is good too, a very simple and light weight. Djview4 and use (installation by Administrator Synaptic) to view the DjVu format, and edit djvusmooth as djvu synaptic manager.
