hitachi hdd noise
Team makes a clicking noise? I think that's the hard drive, HELP!?
Well I just made a NEW HP Pavilion 3108TX laptop and just came home and completed the implementation. But I realized that even when the laptop does nothing makes a clicking sound. This "Click" always varies three times in 10 seconds to once every two minutes. In addition, some of the clicks stronger / deeper than the others. The hard drive is a Hitachi 1 TB, 7200 RPM, which is important and is divided into operating system (450 GB) of data (465GB) recovery (15 GB) HP Tools (100 MB) that I scanned the hard drive with F2 at boot and run Audit all errors the two campaigns. Help me? I have to take it back or is this natural? So I'm guessing is the hard drive because I'm not using for something like the CD …
Download the "Drive Fitness Test" Hitachi http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm create bootable CD and boot from it. The Drive Fitness Test drive report problems reported by internal SMART disk subsystem. Furthermore, Run both the "short" and "long" evidence offered on the menu. (Do not hit the "zero of the disk!) This software has saved my back with Hitachi drives (IBM ThinkPad) a couple of times!
