hdd performance check
I have a issue with this computer it freezes after a while
computer would be fine for a while then would freeze and the led on the front of the computer just sits at a solid state, then you restart go to the bios check temp and everything looks normal in the performance tab. I thinking maybe possible bad psu. well when you try to restart the computer says invalid system disk replace disk and hit enter. does the same over and over after hitting restart, Thinking hard drive failing. when gets hot dont hdd quits working right.
everything works for a while or long time after you unplugg the computer for a while and let it sit. this computer is been bought with 4 other computers and 2 weeks ago 2 of the 4 computer psu went out at the same time. That is part of the reason I think it may be a psu problom
any ideas
most obvious reason is overheating. Is the cpu seated correctly with at least a stock fan connected to it. Is the exhast fan(s) on the back blowing strong and the right way. Is this an older computer? u may need to disconnect the CPU and clean off the top of the cpu as well as the heat sink and apply some arctic5 thermal compound.
