necessary suggestions for bad MBR of a hard drive 20 GB?
when I'm trying to run Disk Manager on a 20 GB hard drive, I get the message "error reading partition table error code = 1000h unrecoverable ECC" When I install XP now says "can not be access the hard drive "please suggest me some good links to solve problems with hard drives.
so u can rebuild the MBR with the command FDSK / Mbr. It will not damage the data in normal situations. Sometimes a virus can attack the MBR and the first sector of the disk … Trojans do. Otherwise, I suspect the reader will a format that will lose all given. Personally, I dump the entire disk and spend £ 30 in a 180 GB one for a computer store!
