Windows XP keeps crashing

It seems completely random and very often, but Windows XP crash for no reason! Explorer.exe CPU usage to go up the final 50, and I am forced to close explorer.exe and start again. As I said before, is completely random and very annoying. Is there a way to solve this problem? My team is approximately 2 1 / 2 years old, with Windows XP SP2 Intel P4 3.20 GHz "Prescott", 1 GB of RAM (2 x 512) Asustek's mother has been quite well until 3 months. If anyone can help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, S.

Did you download the Service Pack for Windows XP. Watch your cooling fan may be full of dust, give it a cleaning.
