dual cpu gaming
What processor is better for gaming? dual core or quad core?
I am stuck between these two: vs Q6600 3.0 GHz to 2.4 GHz E8400 I have Windows Vista. I have already 3GB DDR2 RAM and a graphics card MB 4850 512. I do not know what CPU to buy. What?
My first instinct would be quad-core … but not all games are scheduled to take advantage of quad-core architecture … Therefore, it depends .. but for "the future" perspective I would get the quad core. That's why I'm aprehensive a quad core with 4 cores at a slower clock speed, while the dual-core has 2 a higher clock speed. If an application can take advantage of 4 cores, using the clock speed or slower in the two cores … therefore play a little slower to say that dual core is stronger heart …. So with that said, the applications running on your system can benefit from the use of four cores when you play .. so in some cases, dual core will out .. but not if it is a dual-core Intel Extreme or something …. But on the safe side, again, I recommend the patio .. from games increasingly developed for use all 4 cores … but the key game will be increasingly to the GPU, which is responsible for most of the graphics .. So look what you can get on the side of the graphics card, and then see that their money is driving on the processor side .. then you might have a life Core 2 Duo and a decent graphics card big card .. that matches the best in the game, then a quad core graphics card Hoo hum … is a combination of things on your system, making a platform game as well.
