amd x2 250 versus intel dual core e5700?

which is better amd x2 250 versus intel dual core e5700 because im on a very very very very neeed a good but cheap and im on budget im ok with this 2 processor but what is the more powerful and i don’t need a super cpu cause i have a good graphic card gts 250
and what is a better combination with my gts 250 graphic card the amd or the intel? please help!

Te E5700 is a slightly quicker performer, but I’d go with the Athlon II X2 250 because that’s a socket AM3 processor, which means your motherboard will use DDR3 RAM and also could accept better, affordable CPU upgrades in the future. Going with the E5700 traps you on socket LGA775 with DDR2, which is a dead-end for upgrades.

Really I’d advise neither one… the Athlon II X3 445 is only $15 more than the X2 250 and worth it. But if the budget can’t stretch that far, get the X2 250.
