Sony Vegas (HD VIDEO lagging in preview)?

I’m trying to preview my HD videos in Sony Vegas Pro 8. But the video clips lag whenever I try to preview them or scroll through the timeline…
I have the latest Quicktime Updates Running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Hi there!

Quite simply put, you need either a better computer, or non-HD footage. The lagging has to do with how much data Vegas is required to “preview render”. The less data, the less lag. Try switching from preview quality to draft quality. That should help. For any further questions, join my forum at creatingfilm.com.
