CPU usage: / proc / stat, etc?
In Linux, how I can get an approximate percentage of Actual CPU utilization? I have two nuclei. / Proc / stat gives me the average load over the last few periods of time, but I need to measure the average CPU usage (preferably without system calls ps popen'ing so ugly, for example) a good time. Is there any way? Sorry, I have to do a non-interactive, using a script, for use in Python. I have no RS, and is not in its list of suitable candidates, either ..
/ Proc / stat, the first line that says "CPU" is the combination of statistics of all CPU. Just to sum up the second (the user), third (Nice) and 4 (system) to the line, and divided by all the available time (the fifth row is the time of inactivity). Pseudocode example: tmp = $ 2 + $ 3 + $ 4 = $ tmp using / ($ tmp + $ 5) Simple, right?
