How do I test a motherboard and CPU to see if they are bad?
I have a motherboard and AMD Athlon XP 2800 + I want to test to see if they good. my friend has tested and found that the CPU is burnt. How can I test? I thought I could only connect a power supply and monitor and on. if the BIOS boot on the board right? How do I know if the CPU is bad? if the CPU is bad, nothing appears on screen. If the Board is still good, fans starts, right?
You will not start with only a motherboard. Try a different CPU on the board that you know the card supports. If it starts, be sure to take note of the BIOS of the motherboard. Go Council site and see what BIOS version you have to support your CPU and make sure the BIOS or later.
