cpu pin repair

The number one cause of the plates damaged and / or supply of the CPU is defective. Several years ago my power to the home PC is literally caught fire. When power took him to my mother and two hard drives with it. Needless to say I lost a lot of data, I had saved.

When customers make their PCs to repair the "I push the power button and nothing happens" in the symptoms, it is clearly what happened. Whether it's a kind of electric shock or an internal fault with this food, there is nothing that the power supply is toast. Now we must determine whether the damage is limited to food or other items has been published essential.

First, change the power supply. The PC shall have the power and the fans are spinning, but the motherboard POST? If there must first eliminate the other components. If you have two memory sticks removed a stick at a time and try to start again. If not reinstall you deleted, then remove the next. If the boot still fails to remove the two memory sticks and installed another stick that was not on the original PC. If that fails, then you can remove the memory to be the problem.

The next thing to do is reset the CMOS defaults. This can be achieved through a reset jumper on the motherboard. The driver must be placed very close CMOS battery. The battery is the size of a quarter. Nearby, you should see three pins with a jumper on two of these pins. To reset the CMOS, move the bridge more than one slot. If you have problems with this, another method is to remove only the battery itself for at least half an hour. Please consult the motherboard manual basis for precise instructions. If you do not have the manual can be found online with a little research.

If the CMOS reset worked very well! All you have to do is reset the clock and must be in business. If that fails, you can try disconnecting the hard drive and see if the position of the motherboard. From experience, is a remote possibility, but should try first. If you still have no luck, then either the motherboard or processor or both are damaged.

Now there is no sure way to determine which one is bad, without them having to replace one. The danger is that if I guess it was the CPU and motherboard and replace the CPU with the most likely damage is new the new CPU's. Therefore, it is desirable to replace the two. If not, you could end up spending much more money than originally planned.

Of course, now that has changed the motherboard and CPU all equipment is working, and you think you are out of forest. But this is not the case. When you try to start Windows, 9 out of 10 times, the operating system does not load because the new motherboard. If you replace the motherboard with the same exact model, probably not have this problem. If you replaced the motherboard with a different model, you have two options:

1. Try a repair installation of Windows. You will need the Windows disk to perform this operation.

2. If that fails, then you need to reformat the hard disk which means clean everything off the player and do a clean install of Windows.

If you have valuable data on your disk that is not saved, you need to start thinking about ways to recover such data before formatting.

Good luck!
