When I boot my computer the monitor doesn’t turn on and a voice says “System failed, CPU test”?
I was at a friends house having a LAN party my computer froze and I didn’t really think anything of it. I turned off the power supply and when I went to reboot the monitor wouldn’t turn on. I figured it was the graphics card overheating so I let it cool down for about half an hour. When I tried again the monitor still wouldn’t turn on. Later when I tried it again at my house, and had it pluged into some speakers, I noticed that a voice started saying “System failed, CPU test”. I tried unpluging and repluging the processor but it still says it. I removed everything from the motherboard and remounted all of it and the voice still comes over the speakers. I’m not sure of my exact specs but I know I have a Radeon x1650pro Graphics card 1G of ram a 2.3G processor and a 640wt power supply. I’m completly in the dark so any help would be great.
try resetting the bios clear it or remove the battery for 30 sec.
try doing a power drain (unplug power supply push in power button for 15 sec.) on power supply check switch it should say 115 (north america) flip it to 230 then back again make sure it clicks both times then back to 115 again
[ reverse this if you are over seas] replug power reboot…
if it sill failes check to make sure you have good thermal past on processor between fan
try alternate cpu
