Problem installing 512-MB DDR-DIMM in an ASUS motherboard?

I think I have a problem with a particular hardware configuration. The motherboard is an Asus P4V8X-MX and RAM is Corsair ValueSelect 515 MB DDR 184-pin DIMM. With this configuration, the screen remains blank after starting. No There is no post beeps. I put in a Kingston 128 MB DDR-DIMM and operates. Ideas? This is a PC, I work for someone else. MB 515 512 not sorry. According to the manual the motherboard Cosair ValueSelect 512 MB is the list of qualified suppliers. I tried a different club Corsair 512. He worked for about 5 minutes, then shut up and quit.
